Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

What is Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)?

NAFLD is a condition when fat is deposited in your liver even if you drink little or no alcohol. Having too much fat in your liver can lead to permanent liver damage. Having diabetes or high triglycerides, can put you at higher risk of developing NAFLD.

How is it managed?

Achieving a healthy body weight, following a healthy diet and being active can help you manage your NAFLD and reduce the amount of fat in your liver.

Why see a Dietitian?

A dietitian can provide you with the right education, guidance and support for management of NAFLD and prevention of disease progression.
